The Wayland Boosters is a
non-profit organization that provides support to the High School athletics
program. Our members organize the sports banquets held at the end of each
season to recognize our athletes.
We pay for and award the
pins and jackets given to varsity players and we also give three special
Boosters awards to three members of each team. We fund capital improvements such
as new scoreboards to the baseball and softball field as well as contributions
to renovate the varsity baseball field and "The Rock"(Bennett Field). In
addition, the Boosters has started the Wayland Athletic Hall of Fame. Please
check out that website at www.waylandhof.org. There are 39 members of
the Hall of Fame as of 10/31/10.
We raise funds through our
annual membership campaign, by selling Wayland sports clothing through the
Boosters' Store and running events such as the Boosters/Wayland
Hockey annual golf tournament as well as our annual basketball game
pitting the Booster All Stars against the New England Patriots. We hope you'll take a look at our program
and consider becoming a Booster. Check us out by signing up
